Mid-American Therapy is Hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Near Shelby, OH

Mid-American Therapy is looking for a progressive and committed Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our home health team. The candidate will work with Occupational Therapists on an integrated health care team to carry out the prescribed plan of care. Our team is top of class for service excellence to our patients and healthcare partner organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
  • Carry out care plans using a variety of treatment techniques
  • Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
  • Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
  • Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving ROM, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
  • Consult and practice with other health professionals
  • Assess effectiveness of treatments, monitor and communicate progress
  • Document patient care services

Skills

  • Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices
  • Drive to continually learn and grow
  • Professional behavior
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Basic computer skills for our documentation software
  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy assisting in the state of Ohio

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
